&TRADITION Tripod Table Lamp - Tripod from 1953 reflects the clean minimalism of Old Masters Hvidt & Mølgaard. A floor lamp built from lacquered steel with brass details, it strikes a delicate balance between the stark simplicity of its design and the softness injected by the curved edges of its base. Although it was designed in 1953, this is the first time it's in production.

&TRADITION Utzon Pendant - To Jørn Utzon, his father’s naval engineering drawings became a lifelong fascination with ships and boats, along with light. More than a decade before Jørn Utzon created his masterpiece, the Sydney Opera House, he put his child-hood fascination into this pendant, combining successfully the smoothness of the lines of a ship with the source of light for the first time.

101 COPENHAGEN Moon Floor Lamp - The Moon lamp is a sculptural lamp, inspired by the characteristic use of animal pictures in Danish Modernism from 1940s to 1960s. xxx The lamp is named after its bull like lampshades of opal glass, which gives a smooth light scattering and a characteristic expression. xxx Bull consists of an unpolished black marble base, complimented by a lamp arm in oxidized aluminum and covered by spun cognac leather.

In 1963, Franco Albini and Franca Helg started experimenting with plastics in lighting for Arteluce. Summoned by Gino Sarfatti to research the possibilities that new technologies and materials were providing, the two designers came up with a suspension lamp that summed up the two souls of the Arteluce brand: the love for glass, which they used for the opal diffuser, and the daring use of methacrylate, a (then new) lighter and more resistant material, perfect to interpret modernity by combining craftmanship and industry.

A timeless masterpiece of lightness and elegance, Model 2065 is the result of Gino Sarfatti’s desire to experiment with materials. Gino Sarfatti came across methacrylate samples between 1949 and 1950.
