AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu) The Eclipse Desk - Named after its concave and convex form that resembles the illuminated passage of celestial bodies in the sky, The Eclipse Desk has a distinctive silhouette that adds a sense of drama to the organically shaped design. Crafted in solid dark-oiled oak, the sweeping tabletop is fitted with a lid that lifts to reveal a hidden storage bucket in the metal column leg, ensuring the surface of the desk remains clutter free. Designed to stand alone as a centerpiece in the middle of a room or for placement up against a wall as a more conventional piece of furniture, its intriguing form draws the eye and invites to touch.
AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu) Hashira Floor Lamp - ?launches the Hashira Collection, a modern, Nordic take on the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern. A fusion of East and West, tradition and modernity, and a perfect balance of aesthetics and proportion and simplicity and character, Hashira is a new collection of floor, table and pendant lamps for modern spaces.
Originally Ingeborg was designed in 1940 by Flemming Lassen. The chair was designed by Master carpenter Jakob kjær, who manufactured Flemming Lassen's furniture for The Carpenters guild Annual Furniture Exhibition. The charming little easy chair is named after Flemming and Mogens Lassen's mother, the artist Ingeborg Winding. Ingeborg is a perfect match for the new sofa, called Vilhelm. The sofa is named after the brothers' father Hans Vilhelm Lassen who was a decorative artist. It's a beautiful reunion of Vilhelm and Ingeborg.
The result of a study of the possibilities of form-pressing techniques, Ready Chair, created for AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu)by Matias Møllenbach and Nick Rasmussen, takes its cues from classic free-swing chair designs, its cantilevered seat and backrest appearing as if suspended on air.
Flemming Lassen designed the overstuffed easy chair, The Tired Man, for The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Competition in 1935. It is characterized by organic, bearlike shapes and then as now it created a sensation with its curved form and voluminous armrests. Sitting in the chair should, in Flemming Lassen's own words, be "as warm and safe as a polar bear cub in the arms of its mother in the middle of the ice caps". Free ottoman must be the same fabric and finish.
An archival design from 1941, Mogens Lassen’s foldable Jäger Lounge Table is reissued to a modern audience. Its name comes from the merchant for which it was created, and its design is inspired by the folding stools and beds found in Tutankhamen's Egyptian tomb. Shaped from wood – oiled oak or oiled walnut – brass fittings detail the iconic piece of Danish design. The table also features a brass plaque engraved with a unique serial number.
