AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu) Plinth Tall - Over centuries, the plinth has been a much mused-over object. With this project Danish studio Norm Architects set out to rethink the uses of the plinth and to reveal the natural beauty of marble. The result is a series of podiums with multiple uses in the home, office or showroom. .
The result of a study of the possibilities of form-pressing techniques, Ready Chair, created for AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu)by Matias Møllenbach and Nick Rasmussen, takes its cues from classic free-swing chair designs, its cantilevered seat and backrest appearing as if suspended on air.
Designed in the 1950s by Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandström, Resonant is as relevant today as ever. The mid-century pendant lamp is both striking and simple, shaped from polished brass into four concentric shades that direct glare-free light downwards. Well suited to any space, its name alludes to a visual interplay between light and sound, reflecting off the shiny surface and reverberating across a room.
AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu) Reverse Table Lamp - presents Reverse Lamp, a new lighting solution that underpins the ever-present beauty of natural materials. In his search for simple and clever solutions in any given space, Danish designer Aleksandar Lazic looked to Italian marble tables from the 1970s when creating the Reverse Lamp. Inspired by the play on structure created by geometric constraints, the conical travertine base and curved, bronzed aluminium shade define the lamp’s perfectly balanced expression.
